Description from the seller
A0000006674
Item: LARGE PARKER VACUMATIC FOUNTAIN PEN in golden amber laminated celluloid with semi-translucent black horizontal stripes, arrow clip, and gold-plated trim
Length: 13.3 cm
Diameter: 1.3 cm
Nib: F
Period: 1940s
Materials: Barrel and cap in golden amber/black semi-translucent striped laminated celluloid, with circumferential “MADE IN PARKER VACUMATIC” imprint on the barrel. 14-karat gold nib engraved with the Parker arrow and an ebonite feed; black section. Gold-plated arrow clip and cap bands. Vacuum filling system (Vacumatic), with a plastic button beneath the threaded blind cap, characteristic of the model.
Condition: Very well preserved overall for its age. The celluloid retains its shine, with no cracks or appreciable losses; the stripes, originally transparent, have darkened to an amber tone over time, as is typical of this model. The gold plating on the clip and cap bands shows slight wear from use, and the bands retain their chasing well. Straight and aligned nib, with no visible bends, slight patina, and small traces of old ink. Minor signs of use typical of the period.
Accessories: The pen only; no box or papers are visible in the photos.
