Box (5) - Wood - Card box

This is an antique / vintage playing-card token set (in French often called a jeu de quadrille or boîte à jetons), probably from the late 19th century or the early 20th century (circa 1880–1920).

The tokens (jetons): These flat, rectangular tokens were used to keep score or bets in classic card games (such as Whist, Quadrille, Ombre or Poker). They are made of colored bone (or possibly celluloid / early plastic).
The boxes: The set consists of four separate compartments or removable wooden boxes with the four familiar card suit symbols printed or painted on the lid: Clubs, Hearts, Spades and Diamonds.
The large outer box: These four small boxes originally belong together in the larger wooden chest with the painted landscape on the lid (as shown in the first photo).
There are 4 colors of tokens. 19–20 long and 5 short tokens.
