Roland Paris, female nude Ca. 1930, verso signed Roland Paris, bronze has been partially cold painted, elegant female nude with a dignified head held high and modern pageboy haircut, high heels, the young lady’s hands are holding a cloth that flows into a stylised, juvenescent plinth, which rests on a multi-piece marble base, dinged up, height of the bronze piece: 44 cm, total height: 53 cm Artist information: Austrian painter, sculptor and wood-block engraver (1894 Vienna - 1945 Swinemünde), studied under Henry van de Velde and Gottlieb Elster at the Art School in Weimar, continued his education in Munich, ran his own publishing company as a graphic artist, worked mainly as a designer for porcelain sculptures for the following companies, among others: Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther, Heubach, Fraureuth and the Schwarzburger Werkstätten, was active in Berlin Source: Thieme-Becker
