Guardian Figure of the Karo Batak of the Lake Toba in the north of the big island of Sumatra.
Please note the square carved in low-relief enabling the insertion of magical substance or Pupuk. The Batak style is recognisable by the hieratic posture of the figurine and by the shape of its ears.
The protective load placed by the Datu in this piece of architecture will ensure the protection of the inhabitants of the house.
The patina of wear is lighter on some places. Heavy and hard wood.
