I am selling this unique vase combination of blue and clear glass

WThe glassworks in Poděbrady was founded near the Poděbrady station in 1876 by brothers Ján and Augustin Gerhardtová.  The modern glassworks, which began operating in June 1877, was the first glassworks in Central Bohemia.  Production here was transferred from their older glassworks in Pavlov near Světlá nad Sázavou.  Their friendship with the owner of the Poděbrady estate, Prince Arnošt Filip Hohenlohe of Schillingfürst, also had an impact on the fact that the glassworks was opened in an area with a lack of minerals and cheap labor.
 At that time, the glassworks produced not very high-quality potassium glass, intended primarily for lamps, bottles and various small items.  The glassworks did not succeed economically and production was stopped in the years 1886-1893.
 The dilapidated glassworks was bought in 1893 by the businessman Josef Inwałd, who renewed and modernized production.  Under his leadership, the company began to prosper (an etching and grinding shop was also established here).  In 1911, light bulbs became a novelty in the production program.  During the First World War, the company's production was limited, but during the First Republic, the glassworks expected a boom
