The Saab 99 ‘EMS’ (Electronic Manual Special) version is the top sports model with fuel injection made since 1973
and produced in very small series due to its high purchase price.

This vehicle was sold new in Italy by the SAAMM S.r.l. dealership in Milan and registered in 1978. It has all the optional extras available at the time, including original SAAB Air Conditioning A/C, Webasto vinyl sunroof, whitewall tyres with mudguards and lobster-coloured velvet interior.

In addition, the car was used for trips abroad and, at that time, the previous owner installed a tow bar
with a 975 kg load capacity and, in 1979, he added a beautiful Nardi Monica 38 caravan.

The ‘Nardi’ caravans produced by the company that also specialised in racing cars in the 1950s, were the best produced in Italy in terms of accessories and finish, with walnut-coloured woods, burner heating system, shower and ceramic tiles. The quality is outstanding and this model has always been kept in the garage, is completely original and has its black plates and registration papers.

The Saab and the caravan are approved for road use, with approvals on the registration certificate.

Recently, the Saab was fitted with four original whitewall tyres with a design from the period.

A thickness gauge test showed no significant accidents, the car is sound, with the partly original paint, which has slight signs of ageing. The original interior is in beautiful condition, the roof opens and closes smoothly and keeps out water.

Inspection was passed in April 2021 and is valid until April 2023. However, this is a purchase from the previous owner and some basic maintenance may be needed in the future.
