Very rare Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Tommi Mäkinen Edition TME RS European version.

A true race car ‘dressed’ for the streets, in impeccable condition, only 172 units of the TME RS LHD were manufactured, most of which ended up as race cars.

With a 17-digit chassis number, original LHD, not converted. The RS version was produced with the purpose of making the racing preparation of the car easier, so the basic elements could be replaced with any during a competition. 

The RS did not have electric windows or air conditioning, although the owner of this car equipped it later with air conditioning. The car had bars to reinforce the chassis, one behind the front grille, and another one in the floor pan. RS cars all had a factory option of thinner bodywork panels—the stamping of some elements of the bodywork was done with 0.7 mm sheet metal instead of 0.8, which was the usual.

They did not have any sound protection so as to reduce the weight. Therefore, the model weighed 80 kg less than the GSR. The turbo was smaller to get better numbers in the area under the curve power and the turbine shaft was made of Inconel. Although it showed the same power of 280 hp (276 hp; 206 kW) as the GSR, it delivered both power and torque before.

It has a front Torsen differential and a Salsbury-type rear mechanical disc differential in contrast to the GSR that was equipped with an AYC.

This car in particular was distributed in Europe by Ralliart Germany, which was the importer for Northern Europe, from where it went to Estonia. In 2019, it was imported to Spain. 

There is no record of services at an official dealership, although the car has had an important service with replacement of timing belt, water pump, petrol, oil and air filters, 4 Bilstein PSS shock absorbers. The turbo is new, as well as the intercooler.

All the elements of the lower part of the car affected by corrosion have been reconditioned, such as suspension wishbones, transmissions, screws, etc. The car also has a Kevlar crankcase guard, probably to avoid getting stuck in the snow.

In conclusion, this is a very rare car due to its low production numbers, its originality and condition.
