1971 MG 1300 S in very good condition.

This is the most deluxe version of the ADO16 manufactured in Spain by AUTHI (AUtomóviles de Turismo Hispano Ingleses), the last one of the MG cars manufactured in Spain. Perhaps this is the best existing unit of the Spanish ADO16. 

Preserved in excellent original condition and with all its known history, it was in the hands of its original owner since it was registered on 5th November 1971 until 2016, when it passed into the hands of a collector until today. 

The vehicle was preserved in great original condition, so the works that were carried out were the minimum so that it kept looking in enviable condition: it was painted in its original red colour, the Hydrolastic suspension was serviced and recharged, a full new exhaust line was fitted and the engine was absolutely completely rebuilt, mounting a kit of high compression pistons of the time and an electric petrol pump. It also has 4 new tyres. 

All its chrome parts are factory original and are in fabulous condition. The leather interior, red carpeting, sports steering wheel and Smiths instruments are preserved in perfect original condition. Also its original rubber mats. 

All the original manuals have been preserved, as well as the service book, stamped up to now, and the service cards and even the registration certificate. It has only travelled 64,000 km, fully real. It has 5 nice and very exclusive Akront alloy rims in their corresponding original 12" size. 

In the words of its first owner (a woman), she ‘did not like the original sheet metal rims with hubcaps’, so she had these other ones fitted at the dealership. The car has a valid ITV (Spanish vehicle inspection) passed on 23rd April and is ready to keep enjoying it.

In short, an incredible ADO16 car, certainly one of the best in Europe, in a beautiful original condition and that will only give satisfaction to any English car lover.
