This Land Rover 109 is a 2A version produced in 1965 as shown in the Heritage Land Rover certificate.

It is an original left-hand drive version delivered new in France and later registered in Italy by its old owner.

The aluminium bodywork is original and has some signs of its almost 60 years of life; there are some scratches, repairs, cracks and dents, and typical signs of use of these unstoppable vehicles. The patina, however, is beautiful and tells its story.
The windscreen folds down completely.

A new original English soft top and fully new, original galvanised Britpart soft top frame was recently installed, cost over €2500 with invoice. 

Mechanical-wise, the car is in working order and starts well, the engine turns smoothly and the gearbox works as it should including 4x4 engagement. A new overhaul of the diesel pump was just carried out, a new original Britpart exhaust and a set of 4 new tyres was installed. There are some oil leaks, as typical.
It has the original engine with code 271, only produced for this 2A series.

The seats were reupholstered a few years ago and are still usable, the rear interior was restored with a new rubber mat and the three rear benches are completely new including the iron frames and wheel covers.

A new rear chassis crossbeam (including mudflaps) was just installed as the original one was corroded and in poor condition, the underbody and chassis are in compliance with the Italian roadworthiness test passed in January 2021 and are usable, they are compatible with the vehicle’s history and general condition.

Recently, over €4500 were spent on mechanical, structural and spare parts work.

Technical inspection was passed in January 2021 and is valid until January 2023, however the car is a direct purchase from the previous owner and normal maintenance compatible with the condition of the car may be required before use. 

The car will be delivered with a Report of Conformity carried out by a third party expert who certifies the truthfulness of the photos and description. It is offered for sale as a collectable item.
