De iconische Bubble Chair is een ontwerp van de Franse kunstenaar Christian Daninos in 1968. Deze stoel is een van de meest gewilde vintage collector's items.

De Bubble Chair van Christian Daninos komt zelden op de markt te koop. Hij wordt gezocht door vele nationale en internationale interieurarchitecten en decorateurs.
Er zijn zeer weinig exemplaren van de stoel gemaakt en zijn slechts korte tijd in productie geweest, waardoor het een zeer gewild verzamelobject is.

Dit komt onder meer doordat Christian Daninos maar 1 stoel ontwierp en zich meer toelegde op kunst en film.

Toch ontwierp hij in 1968 dit iconische meesterwerk en patenteerde hij het meteen.
Deze stoel werd gebruikt in Star Trek-films en in de iconische Scarface-film met Tony Montana in de hoofdrol.

De Bubble Chair maakt deel uit van de permanente collectie van het "Museum voor decoratieve kunsten Parijs".

Christian Daninos werd geboren op 28 juli 1944 in Cheverny. Zijn moeder is een pianiste en zijn vader is de schrijver Pierre Daninos.

Na het behalen van de middelbare school bereidde hij zich voor op het toelatingsexamen voor de decoratieve kunsten aan de Académie Charpentier, waar hij in 1963 werd toegelaten. Het was ook op deze datum dat hij Patrick Bokanowski ontmoette met wie hij een nauwe artistieke samenwerking begon. Via hem ontmoette hij de schilder Henri Dimier, wiens invloed beslissend zou zijn.

Naast zijn carrière als schilder, zal Christian Daninos een activiteit van uitvinder, ontwerper en grafisch ontwerper nastreven. In 1968 ontwierp en patenteerde hij een fauteuil in plexiglas en staal, de "Bulle" fauteuil, die in de jaren 70 een meubelbenchmark zou worden.
