Large original lithograph by the painter Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010), born in Liège to Dutch parents, founding member of the Cobra movement, with Karel Appel, Dotremont, Constant, Asger Jorn, Joseph Noiret, then Lucebert, Jacques Doucet or Alechinsky.

Total dimensions: 57 x 76 cm - 2004

Signed and dated in pencil by the artist - Numbered EA 8/30 (artist's proof)

The quality of the lithographic plate is such that Corneille gives the illusion of having the brushstrokes in front of you. The double face is a nod to the cubist period.

Identified as an important figure in the renewal of abstraction in Northern Europe, Corneille gradually moved from 1967 towards a rich and colorful New Figuration that coordinated with the Pop Art taste of the 1960s and 1970s, and exhibited in alongside Andy Warhol, Arman, Caesar, etc.
