Magnificent celestial map depicting the constellations of the northern and southern hemispheres, after the famous plates from Cellarius' astronomical atlas (Harmonia Macrocosmica).

The composition features two richly illustrated hemispheres with mythological figures: zodiac, celestial creatures, fantastic animals, and allegorical figures, surrounded by nimbuses and cherubs. A finely executed engraving with hand coloring.

• Overall dimensions: 43 cm (height) × 76 cm (width)
• Interior drawing dimensions: about 26 cm × 60 cm
• Presented in double hemisphere format
• Visible numbering at the bottom right (“27”)

Condition:

Very good overall condition.
The paper is clean and well preserved.
The colors remain fresh and vivid.
The engraving is sharp and clearly marked.
Slight marginal traces related to age (see photos).
