Deze Iittala Aalto Opaal Witte Maljakko vaas is een Finse klassieker ontworpen in 1936 door Alvar Aalto. Elke vaas handgemaakt door de bekwame glasblazers van de Iittala glasfabriek. Iittala's Aalto-vaas staat bekend als een klassieker van Fins design en glaskunst, die fascineert door zijn organische en dubbelzinnige vorm. 

De fabricagetechniek volgt de originele methode; 
de vaas wordt met de mond in een houten mal geblazen. Dit geeft de vaas een zachtere vorm vanwege het karakteristieke design.
Het iconische ontwerp is geïnspireerd door het Finse landschap uit zijn jeugd, en is zowel functioneel als sculpturaal. De vaas draagt de originele oude sticker en is onderop gesigneerd.

• Er zijn maar liefst 7 bekwame vaklieden, 12 productiestadia, 1100 graden Celsius en 30 uur nodig om één Aalto vaas door alle stappen van de productie te begeleiden.
