Moaï Île de Pâques

Les statues monumentales de l’île de Pâques ont été dressés par les Haumaka, anciens habitants de l’île, qui s’identifiaient comme descendants du découvreur polynésien Hotu Matu’a, venu, selon leur tradition orale, de « Hiva », peut-être Hiva Oa ou Nuku Hiva, aux Marquises.

Les Moaï  sont tournés principalement vers l’intérieur de l’île à l’exception de l’Ahu Akivi où ils  regardent l’océan.

Occasionally, two different bidders may show up in the bidding history with the same bid amount. This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference.
