Extremely rare, large and heavy rarity produced 1987 by Franklin Mint + German Museum Munich, Germany. Universal Equatorial Sundial No. 4. From 1764. In very good condition. The dimensions are 28 cm x 24 cm and the weight is nearly 2,800 g. An authentic, precisely-calibrated scientific instrument, wonderfully inviting to the eye and one that compels one to pick it up for closer examination. From the moment one unwraps this "Universal Equatorial Sundial", there is a treat in store that many collector never get to experience.

This special object fits wonderfully into nautical, maritime interiors and exudes a touch of history. There's a lot you can do with it and work with it. Of course everything works. Unfortunately there is no instruction manual included (picture 2 = archive picture not included). With intricate details and precise craftsmanship, this replica equatorial sundial captures the essence of its historical counterpart. The dial is artfully perforated so that sunlight casts shadows and shows the time precisely.
