Wooden four-tier Japanese lacquer "jubako" or food box with stand from the Meiji era (1868-1912), probably after 1890.  It is decorated with pine trees in a hilly landscape  (and prunus on the inside of the lid) and shows various lacquer techniques (hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, nashiji and togidashi maki-e) and is in excellent condition.

It is 38 cm high and 25 x 25 cm, weighing almost 2,5 kg.
