In dit kavel treft u een set van 25 neolithische stenen kralen aan, afkomstig uit Ghana.
De laatste (vier) foto's bij dit kavel zijn gemaakt in het Nationaal Museum te Accra en het Archeologisch museum (Universiteit van Accra). Van de kralen uit de musea wordt beschreven dat ze uit opgravingen afkomstig zijn, van de kralen hier in dit kavel weten we dat niet zeker.
In Ghana worden deze kralen tegenwoordig nog steeds (!) gebruikt als afweer tegen magische krachten.
De stenen kralen worden in Ghana 'donderstenen' genoemd.

Patina: de stenen kralen zijn allemaal ruw gevormd maar door langdurig geruik mooi afgesleten, en vele hebben fantastisch mooie, grillige vormen. 

De stenen kralen wegen samen 2,9 kg. De kleine kralen meten ongeveer 3,9 * 2,6 cm; de grote kralen meten circa 7,5 * 3,5 cm. 

Let op: de kralen worden als snoer aangeboden; het snoer is door ons (!) zo gevlochten, dus wordt dus niet in deze vorm in Ghana aangeboden.
