Sehr SELTENE antike russische Ikone "Sophija-die göttliche Weisheit" (Die Weisheit Gottes) aus dem 19. Jahrhundert (um 1880). 

Handgemalt mit Eitemperafarben auf einer Holztafel mit Kreidegrund.

Typische Methode der Ikonenherstellung im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert in Zarenrussland. Das Motiv äußerst selten und gesucht.

Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Altgläubiger-Ikone. Die Malerei ist ziemlich meisterlich und detailliert ausgeführt. Perfekt aufeinander abgestimmte Farbkontraste und gelungene Schattierungen. Die Malerei enthält sehr authentische Krakeelen (siehe Fotos).

Die Ikone entstand wohl in Westrussland um ca. 1850-1880. Die Malweise spricht dafür, dass es sich hierbei um eine Arbeit aus berühmten VETKA-Atelier handelt.

Minimale, partielle Restaurierungen sind vorhanden (siehe Fotos). Sonst Originalzustand. Besonders ausdrucksstark und auffällig sind die Gesichter der Heiligen (siehe Fotos). Die Ikone und die Heiligen sind beschriftet. Die Beschriftungen sind schlecht lesbar.

Auf der Rückseite sind beide Quersponkas angebracht. Stabile und solide Holztafel. Die Ikone befindet sich in einem guten Zustand mit typischen altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren (siehe Fotos).

INTERESSANT für Sammler und Kenner der Materie.
