Zeer bijzonder, deze 1934 Mathis Emy 4S. Prima rijdbaar, netjes gerestaureerd een aantal jaren geleden, een eyecatcher van jewelste. 

Documenten:
De Mathis heeft een Nederlandse registratie, is natuurlijk APK vrij en wegenbelasting vrij. 
Ongelooflijk dat deze auto inmiddels 90 jaar (!!) oud is, en nog in zo’n prachtige conditie verkeert. De auto is in 1989 vanuit Frankrijk naar Nederland gekomen.

Hieronder staat de informatie overgenomen uit het taxatie rapport van de expert, die in maart 2021 de Mathis heeft getaxeerd, en toen een waarde van 14.750 euro heeft vastgesteld.

Carrosserie:
De algehele indruk van het lakwerk is goed, het voertuig is deels voorzien van een nieuwe laklaag, en is gebruikte levende staat. De carrosserie is origineel en verkeert in goede staat. Het chassis verkeert in goede staat, het voertuig is roestwerend behandeld. Het chroomwerk is licht verweerd en licht beschadigd.

Technisch:
De wielophanging is origineel en verkeert in goede staat. De schokbrekers functioneren naar behoeven. Aan de stuurinrichting zijn geen afwijkingen waargenomen. De stuurinrichting is niet bekrachtigd. De handrem functioneert naar behoren, de voetrem functioneert naar behoren. De voetrem is niet bekrachtigd. Het voertuig beschikt over stalen velgen, deze zijn origineel, en in goede staat. De versnellingsbak functioneert naar behoren, we hebben geen vloeistoflekkage waargenomen. (verkoper: brandstofkraantje lekt iets bij opendraaien). De motor is 4 cilinder in lijn, 1524 cc, de motor is origineel en functioneert naar behoren, wij hebben geen vloeistoflekkage waargenomen.
Elektrische installatie is 6 Volt, de installatie is origineel en functioneert naar behoren. 

Interieur:
De algehele staat van het interieur laat zich als goed omschrijven. De bekleding, stof, verkeert in goede staat, het interieur en de bekleding zijn origineel, de meters en klokken zijn origineel en functioneren naar behoren. (verkoper: benzine meter werkt niet altijd goed, raamslinger linker achterdeur mist) 

Tot zover het taxatierapport met een waardebepaling van 14.750 euro, van maart 2021.
Diverse reserve onderdelen worden meegeleverd, zie fotos. 

Dan nog informatie over het merk Mathis:

Emile E.C. Mathis was aan het begin van vorige eeuw vertegenwoordiger in Straatsburg in de Elzas van o.a. de merken Fiat, De Dietrich en Panhard-Levassor.
De eerste eigen wagen was de Hermès, voor Mathis ontworpen door de jonge Ettore Bugatti. Daarna volgden auto's ontworpen door coureur Esser en gebouwd onder licentie van Stoewer.
In 1913 verscheen de eerste echte Mathis, de Babylette. Het beroemde Londense warenhuis Harrods verkocht de Babylette onder z'n eigen naam.
Na de Eerste Wereldoorlog viel de Elzas weer onder Frans bewind en Mathis was het vierde grootste autofabrikant in Frankrijk.
In de jaren dertig tekende Emile Mathis een contract met Henry Ford voor de productie van de Ford V8 onder de naam Matford, maar deze relatie was van korte duur.
Ondanks 2 nieuwe ontwerpen, werd de productie na de Tweede Wereldoorlog niet meer hervat.
De fabriek werd in 1954 gekocht door Citroën.

De auto staat in Hengevelde, Nederland en kan hier vanzelfsprekend worden opgehaald. De auto kan tegen meerprijs van 150 euro in Nederland worden bezorgd (excl. De Waddeneilanden)
