Achtergrondinformatie Jaguar XJS Coupe: De Jaguar XJS is een icoon op vier wielen. De XJS werd in 1975 geïntroduceerd als de opvolger van de legendarische Jaguar E-Type en groeide uit tot een van de meest elegante en krachtige auto's die ooit zijn gebouwd.

In 1988 was de XJS geëvolueerd om de prestaties te verbeteren en de luxe te behouden waar Jaguar om bekend stond. De auto behield zijn iconische stijl met een gestroomlijnde carrosserie, lange motorkap en vloeiende lijnen, waarmee hij de essentie van Britse luxe en prestaties belichaamde.

De XJS werd aangedreven door een krachtige 5,3-liter V12-motor, die indrukwekkende prestaties leverde en de auto een krachtige, soepele rijervaring gaf. Met een automatische transmissie aan boord kon de XJS moeiteloos door het verkeer navigeren terwijl hij toch prestaties van wereldklasse leverde.

Het interieur van de XJS was een toonbeeld van luxe en verfijning. Het interieur van de XJS is al even indrukwekkend, met creme leer dat in goede en geheel originele staat verkeert. Het dashboard en het stuurwiel zijn origineel, waardoor de authentieke sfeer van deze klassieker behouden blijft. Het creme leer getuigt van de zorgvuldige behandeling die deze auto door de jaren heen heeft genoten en uiteraard de uitzonderlijk lage mijlen stand, met enkel wat craquelee op het hout van de middenconsole.

Deze XJS is in 2024 naar Nederland geïmporteerd vanuit de USA en staat momenteel op Nederlands kenteken. Met slechts 51.475 originele mijlen op de teller is deze XJS een zeldzame vondst. De lage mijlenstand weerspiegelt de zorgvuldige manier waarop deze auto door zijn vorige eigenaren is behandeld en gekoesterd. Door het meegeleverde CLEAN CARFAX document wordt tevens de lage mijlenstand bevestigd, maar ook het feit dat de auto een schade vrij verleden kent, wat extra gemoedsrust biedt aan de volgende eigenaar.
