Citroën DS 20 Special - NO RESERVE, 1974.
Description from the seller
IN RISALTO
New delivery in Italy.
DS 20 Special version, 5-speed manual transmission.
Engine 2000cc
Color AC088 Blanc Meije
Homologated for 6 seats on the registration certificate.
History / Overview
The Citroën DS is a luxury car produced from 1955 to 1975 by the French automaker Citroën. Iconic in style and technological innovations, this specific model for the Italian market features a 5-speed manual transmission, a smooth sky sun visor, and a roof painted in Gris Nacré (color AC095).
EXTERNAL
The exterior painting was restored in the past in the classic color AC088 Blanc Meije, with a contrasting gray roof, which is the standard configuration for the Italian market. It is in good condition with minimal signs from normal use and age. A detailing polishing treatment has just been completed. A thickness gauge test did not reveal any incidents.
The underbody is original and generally well preserved; no signs of accidents have been identified.
Internal
The fabric jersey seats have recently been reupholstered by the previous owner and are comfortable and fully usable. The dashboard features the complete set of original Citroen instrumentation, including the distinctive tachometer and the typical steering wheel of the series. The headliner is in good original condition.
MECHANICS
Mechanically, the car is operational and running, it starts easily, the gears engage correctly, and the brakes are functioning. A new complete set of tires was recently installed. The technical inspection has recently expired (November 2025), and some maintenance may be necessary before the next technical check and normal use. The Citroen hydropneumatic suspension system was tested with the vehicle running to check operation, and it raises and lowers as expected.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
