During World War I, Turkish soldiers who were imprisoned in British prisoner-of-war camps in the Middle East made a variety of “beadwork” to relieve the boredom of their long captivity and to trade or sell for food, etc. Well-known works are the snakes and lizards.

The well-preserved snakes are kept in museums and have an average length of 180 cm.

This unique piece is for sale exceptionally! It has a length of 346 cm and a diameter of 2.7 cm. It is therefore the longest-known Ottoman glass-bead snake in the world!

The hose has been perfectly preserved, leaving it in impeccable condition.
