Cette sculpture de grande taille représente Parvati, l'épouse de Shiva. Elle est l'épouse du grand dieu Shiva et la mère de Ganesha, à tête d'éléphant, et du dieu de la guerre, Skanda. Elle est l'un des aspects - bienveillant - de la Grande Déesse, dont les aspects féroces sont connus sous les noms de Durga et Kali. 

Ici, Parvati, à quatre bras, se tient dans une position latérale dansante et tient deux objets qui lui sont fréquemment associés, un lotus pour la beauté et la transcendance, et un rosaire pour la piété. Parvati est représentée avec de grands yeux, des seins ronds, une taille étroite et des hanches larges, éléments de la beauté idéale d'une femme dans l'Inde ancienne. Elle tient également une massue (rare) dans une des mains inférieures et fait le geste de l'absence de crainte de l'autre.

état : Bon état de conservation, érodé, fissures, quelques manques.
