The Chevrolet Indy Speedster 'Gilmore Special' is a unique car, built in the style of a 1930s Indianapolis Race Car. The chassis dates back to 1932, while the front end originates from a 1929 Chevrolet. The car is powered by a 235ci Inline 6-cylinder engine from 1957, paired with a Powerglide automatic transmission.

The entirely handcrafted body has been meticulously constructed and features authentic details, such as original wire wheels and hubcaps from 1930-1932. Additionally, the car is equipped with an Offenhauser aluminum valve cover and a custom interior that perfectly complements its historical appearance.

The Gilmore Special boasts an interesting history. The car was built in the United States and was part of the St. Louis Car Museum collection for many years. In 2006, it was sold to a Belgian collector and later brought to the Netherlands.

This car is not only a head-turner but also fully functional. It is well-suited for rallies, tours, and pre-war events such as those organized by the DVSCC.
