Erg decoratief sleutelkastje. Het wandkastje is 62cm hoog, 27,5cm breed, 12cm diep en heeft een gewicht van ongeveer 4kg. Het kastje dateert van de jaren '20 of '30 van de vorige eeuw en kan beschouwd worden als volkskunst. Het lijkt te zijn gemaakt van eiken planken, waarschijnlijk afkomstig van een nog ouder meubel. De maker zal een handige arbeider zijn geweest, die dit kastje in z'n vrije tijd heeft gemaakt van oude onderdelen (vergelijkbaar met Tramp Art-meubels). Alle materialen zijn authentiek. Het hout is oud, het hang-en-sluitwerk ook en ook de handvatten en haakjes dateren van eind 19de of begin 20ste eeuw. Ook het spiegeltje is oud. Het is nog een spiegel die bestaat uit een glasplaat met erachter zilver. Hier en daar zijn de bekende zwarte oxidatieplekjes zichtbaar (zie foto's). Deze zwarte plekken zijn kenmerkend voor oude spiegels.

Het kastje heeft aan de randen decoratie bestaande uit halfronde profielen en is beschilderd met die voor die tijd typische bordeaurood-achtige verf; erg decoratief!

Ondanks de leeftijd is het kastje nog in goede staat. Natuurlijk heeft het veel gebruikssporen, maar de kast is nog bijzonder stabiel. Ook het deurtje zit nog stevig in de scharnieren en het laadje schuift soepel in de slede. Het is een kastje dat nog jaren dienst kan doen als sleutelkastje, scheerkastje, rommelkastje of zelfs als medicijn-kastje. Heel decoratief!

Het kastje wordt zorgvuldig ingepakt en verzekerd verzonden.
