Edition originale de ce récit d'un voyage en Orient effectué par l'abbé Julien Marchand, curé doyen de Delle, à la fin du 19e siècle.

"Mon but a été double : J'ai voulu mettre entre les mains du pèlerin de Terre Sainte un manuel qui fût un Itinéraire à la fois complet, peu cher et peu encombrant. J'y ai mis tout ce qui était capable d'intéresser au point de vue de la topographie, de l'art , de l'histoire et de la piété (...) J'ai pensé ensuite offrir au fidèle instruit, à tout prêtre ami des Saintes Lettres et curieux des choses de l'Orient classique, un ouvrage donnant la physionomie exacte de ce pays étrange et faisant revivre dans leur cadre géographique les faits profanes ou les scènes de la Bible." L'ouvrage est divisé en trois parties : première partie : Grèce et Turquie ; deuxième partie : Palestine ; Troisième partie : Egypte.

Exemplaire en reliure d'époque, demi-cuir, dos lisse orné, titre et filets dorés. 

Etat : dos et plats frottés (volume solide). Intérieur en bon état de fraîcheur, papier légèrement jauni, les deux premiers feuillets de gardes volants. Bon état.
