Rob ter Ellen

View-master is de merknaam van een systeem voor stereofoto's.  Dit werd uitgevonden in 1939 door een Amerikaanse Duitser William Gruber.  In productie genomen door Sawyer's, een fabriek in Gruber's woonplaats Portland (Oregon) in het Noord-Westen van de Verenigde Staten.
De dia's zijn gemonteerd in ronde kartonnen schijven, 7 paren per schijf.  Deze schijven passen in een projector of View-master.  In 1966 werd Sawyer's  overgenomen door GAF wat staat voor de General Anilin and Film Corporation.  De grootte van elk beeldje in de schijf is 10,5 op 11,7 mm.

Volgende series van schijven, telkens compleet en in goede staat worden aangeboden: 
- The Royal Wedding, Belgium: 2 complete series van drie schijven over het huwelijk van Koning Boudewijn van België en van Koningin Fabiola op 15 december 1960.
Schijfnummers zijn C 3541, C 3542 en C 3543 nummers I, II en III en C 3551, C 3552 en C 3553, nummers IV, V en VI.
Een stukje nostalgie.
