Authentic Auschwitz Cross – PRL Version – Complete Set with Original Documents & Case

Awarded to a Polish Survivor of Auschwitz & Mauthausen

A powerful and deeply moving historical artifact — an original Auschwitz Cross (Krzyż Oświęcimski) awarded to Franciszek Rosiński, a Polish civilian who survived two Nazi concentration camps: Auschwitz and Mauthausen.

His story, officially documented and certified, is a rare testimony of survival. In 1944, Mr. Rosiński was arrested during a German roundup in Warsaw and deported via the Pruszków transit camp. He was sent to Auschwitz, and then transferred to Mauthausen, one of the most brutal Nazi concentration camps, where he remained imprisoned until liberation in May 1945.

This decoration was awarded decades later by the People’s Republic of Poland (PRL) in recognition of his suffering and endurance. It bears the official inscription:
"PRL – Więźniom hitlerowskich obozów koncentracyjnych"
("To the prisoners of Nazi concentration camps").

This set includes:

- Original Auschwitz Cross (Krzyż Oświęcimski) with the iconic red triangle and "P" for Polish political prisoners
- Rare PRL-engraved version – a state-issued design from the era of the People's Republic of Poland

- Preserved striped ribbon representing the camp uniform
