Dit is een Bulova Accutron Model 770 Chapter Ring Spaceview horloge, met 'Cushion Case' horloge kast. Het horloge verkeert in goede staat en is gemaakt in 1972 ( Datum code N2 op de achterzijde).
Deze modellen werden geproduceerd tussen 1969 en 1973.

De schroef voor de opsluiting van de batterij vertoont gebruikssporen.

Het 214H uurwerk maakt gebruik van een 360 Hz "stemvork" in plaats van een balanswiel om de wijzers aan te drijven. De trillende stemvork maakt daarbij een zacht zoemend geluid.
De originele kwik batterij is niet meer leverbaar ( niet toegestaan) en vervangen door een zilveroxide batterij type Renata 387s. Deze batterij heeft een kunststof "spacer ring" vanwege de afwijkende vorm t.o.v. de originele batterij ( RW51) en maakt gebruik van batterij type 394 die goed verkrijgbaar is.
De batterij incl. spacer ring en een reserve batterij worden los meegeleverd.

De afmetingen van de kast zijn 42 x 38 mm. De lengte van de polsband is ca. 19 cm.

Deze Bulova Accutron is in Spaceview uitvoering waardoor het karakteristieke uurwerk goed zichtbaar is. Het uurwerk zit in een stalen kast en heeft een zwart lederen bandje.

Het uurwerk loopt op tijd en is door mij daarop getest.

Dit "vintage" horloge is een mooi exemplaar voor in een collectie maar is ook geschikt voor actueel gebruik.
