Tryptiek Terwijl ik vuur opende, gebaseerd op de originele schilderijen uit 1964 door Roy Lichtenstein, van het Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Elke poster is in mint conditie en heeft de afmetingen 64 cm x 53 cm. Werk is in uitstekende staat.

Dit triptiek is geinspireerd door de strip "All American Men of War". De drie afbeeldingen in "As I Opened Fire" werken samen om een verhaal te vertellen. Het narratief wordt versterkt met zorgvuldig toegevoegde tekst. Dit werk verwijst naar een revolutie in de kunst in de jaren '60. Formeel heeft Lichtenstein beelden uit de populaire cultuur geapproprieerd. Hij plaatste ze in een context van beeldende kunst door ze te vergroten, ze iets te wijzigen en ze op doek te schilderen. Zo vervaagde de kunstenaar de grens tussen hoge en lage kunst.
Hij volgde een strikte, zelfopgelegde formele woordenschat. Lichtenstein benadrukte primaire kleuren, zwarte contouren en vergrote 'Benday-dots' die vaak te zien zijn in mechanische reproducties. Dit werk, een typisch voorbeeld van Popart, kan worden begrepen als een reactie tegen de abstracte expressionisme. Lichtenstein reageert met de wissen van de hand van de kunstenaar in zijn schilderij.

Nooit ingelijst geweest en is bewaard in een donker archiefopslag tussen beschermend zuurvrij papier. De getoonde foto's zijn onderdeel van de beschrijving, de getoonde lijst(maat) zijn ter illustratie en is niet bijgevoegd.
Dit kunstwerk wordt zorgvuldig stevig verpakt en in beschermend zuurvrij papier verzonden.
