Deze zeldzame apothekerspotten in helder glas zijn prachtige voorbeelden van historisch farmaceutisch erfgoed. Oorspronkelijk werden ze gebruikt in apotheken rond de 19e en vroege 20e eeuw om uiteenlopende medicinale stoffen op te slaan. Elk potje is voorzien van een strak vormgegeven etiket met zwarte belettering op een witte achtergrond, omlijst met een decoratief gouden randje. De etiketten dragen Latijnse of verkorte chemische namen zoals "MAGNES. UST." (verbrande magnesium), "ACID. TARTARIC." (wijnsteenzuur) en "CHLORURET. FERRIC. LIQUID." (vloeibaar ijzer(III)chloride), wat duidt op hun oorspronkelijke inhoud en gebruik in de bereiding van geneesmiddelen.

Het glaswerk is helder en met zorg geblazen, met nauwsluitende stopflessen die zorgden voor een goede afsluiting tegen vocht en verontreiniging. Sommige potten, zoals die voor "TERPIN. HYDRAT.", zijn compacter van formaat, wat mogelijk wijst op een zeldzamer of kostbaarder ingrediënt.

Deze potten zijn vandaag de dag niet alleen geliefd bij verzamelaars, maar ook bij liefhebbers van vintage interieurdecoratie en musea. Ze brengen een vleugje medische geschiedenis tot leven en herinneren aan een tijd waarin farmacie nog een ambacht was, uitgevoerd met precisie en zorg.
