I have on offer a small bundle of war / model figures. (1/32)
The items belonged to my late father.
The lot consists of.

Flag burning, Napoleon's retreat 1812
Berliner Zinnfiguren.
France/Russia 1812.
After a costly retreat, the crossing of the Berezina River turned into a tragedy. Napoleon had hoped to capture the Borisov Bridge undamaged, or at least to be able to cross the frozen river without having to build a bridge. He had the pontoon park burned during his retreat. Kutuzov's troops had destroyed the bridge and were fighting fierce battles with the French on both banks of the Berezina. Only with difficulty did they manage to keep open the two temporary bridges, which had to be built because of the sudden thaw. These structures repeatedly collapsed under the weight of the fleeing troops, and the soldiers fell into the icy water. Finally, the French, disregarding the troops still on the eastern bank, burned the bridges to hamper the Russian pursuit. Thousands drowned while attempting to cross the brittle ice. Thousands more surrendered to their pursuers. The Russian pressure on those who had escaped did not let up. It was clear that only remnants of the army would reach Poland and its life-saving supply depots.
In this hopeless situation, on November 29, 1812, the Emperor ordered the burning of the flags so that the standards of French military glory and previous victories would not fall into enemy hands as booty.
Our series depicts the tragic scene of the flag burning. To the dull sound of drums, a detachment of the Old Guard, some clad in rags, presented their rifles for the last time, symbols of their military honor. Dejected, Napoleon participated in this somber ceremony with his old comrade-in-arms, Marshal Murat, King of Naples, and several senior officers.
Our series contains six spruce trees to complete the scene.

The inspiration for this series was the painting by W. Kossak
Wojciech (Adalbert) Kossak, also Adalbert Ritter von Kossak[1] (* 31. December 1857 in Paris; 29. ​​July 1942 in Kraków) was one of the most important panorama, battle and portrait painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

There are 39 peices in the original set unfortunately 1 peice is missing from the set on offer for sale.
Most of the figures have been painted.
It does come with th3 original box.
This set I becoming rare and hard to find in this condition.


3x Hinchliffe Models Ltd vintage (c1980) cast figures.

1 x 75mm Chef de Battalion, incomplete hands missing. In original box and supplied  with the painting  / dress information.

1 x Gatling Gun, US model 1865, (1/32) some parts may be missing, it as not been checked. in original box and supplied  with the construction information.

1 x British 13" Land Mortar 1760-1860. some parts may be missing, it as not been checked. in original box and supplied  with the construction information.
