Vintage De Sansui T-80 AM/FM stereo tuner kan niet ontstemd raken omdat de

Het gepatenteerde Sansui-systeem in de FM-afstemmingssectie maakt gebruik van een digitale bediening voor de quartz-lock-functie. Een referentiesignaal (tijdbasis) van het kwartskristal wordt gebruikt om de frequentie te tellen van de lokale oscillator (het apparaat dat de eigenlijke afstemming uitvoert). Als er te veel of te weinig digitale bits zijn om te tellen, wordt het verschil omgezet in een correctiespanning, krijgt de lokale oscillator de opdracht om terug te gaan naar het station en wordt uw station vergrendeld totdat u de afstemknop verplaatst. Als u de tuner uitschakelt, zorgt een Re-Lock-geheugen ervoor dat het station volledig vergrendeld terugkomt wanneer u het weer inschakelt, zelfs als u een vooraf ingestelde timerklok gebruikt om op te nemen terwijl u weg bent.

Once you tune and lock onto the desired FM transmitter on this easy-to-use system, nothing can cause it to deviate. No changes in voltage or fluctuations in the frequency of your AC power supply, no sudden changes in temperature or humidity in the tuner or in the environment. Nothing.
The patented Sansui system in the FM tuning section uses digital control for the quartz lock function. A reference signal (time base) from the quartz crystal is used to count the frequency of the local oscillator (the device that performs the actual tuning). If there are too many or too few digital bits to count, the difference is converted into a correction voltage, causing the local oscillator to return to the station and locking your station until you move the tuning knob. If you turn off the tuner, a Re-Lock memory ensures that the station will come back fully locked when you turn it back on, even if you are using a preset timer clock to record while you are away.
