Klaus Steinmann, born in Darmstadt in 1939, is a German artist working as a painter, draughtsman, and graphic artist. He received his artistic education from 1961 to 1968 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Berlin, where he also held a teaching position from 1978 to 1981. Steinmann lives and works in Berlin and Walsrode.

His work has been recognized in numerous solo exhibitions, including at the Diogenes Galerie (Berlin, 1970, 1972), the Falazig Galerie (Neuenkirchen, 1971, 1973), the Atlantis Galerie (Berlin, 1971), the Bossin Galerie (Berlin, 1975, 1977), and the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (New Berlin Art Association, 1981). He has a long-standing collaboration with Galerie Walzinger in Saarlouis, where his works were regularly shown between 1984 and 2007. Other significant solo exhibitions include presentations at Galerie Hilger (Aachen, 1985), the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum (Ludwigshafen, 1992), the Kunstverein Springhornhof (Neuenkirchen, 1993, 1996), the Kunstverein Augsburg (Augsburg Art Association, 1994), the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Dresden (Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, 1995), and most recently at Semjon Contemporary in Berlin (2016).
