The first things that come to mind, thinking of a Bordeaux wine, are elegance, refinement and complexity. This particular French wine region is the largest and most important in the world for the production of quality wine, known everywhere for its reds produced with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, a blend universally known as Taglio Bordolese. Almost hidden from view, the Château Haut-Brion, dating back to 1533, is one of the oldest maisons in the Pessac-Léognan area; classified Premier Cru Classé in 1855, it is the most important among all the Châteaus owned and its wine is characterised by the great balance between power and finesse.

Impenetrable ruby red colour, it opens to the sense of smell with initial balsamic and spicy notes, and then gives way to hints of undergrowth and cherry under the spirit, china, cocoa and tobacco, ash and goudron. On the palate it surprises with freshness and velvety tannins, despite being powerful it is smooth and tasty. The ultimate persistence with spicy and mineral references is endless. A masterpiece!
