“Traccia Marina” – meaning Marine Trace in Italian. It evokes the feeling of something ancient and natural left behind by the sea—like a fossil, a shoreline memory, or a sand-swept relic.

This piece is a sculpture entirely handmade by Valentina Cojocaru, crafted in terracotta earthenware and finished raw to preserve the natural tone and texture of the material. What makes this piece truly unique are the hand-applied sand brushstrokes, embedded onto the surface as if shaped by wind and tide—adding an organic tactility and visual depth that invites close inspection.

Measuring 25 cm in height, 25 cm wide, and weighing approximately 2 kg, the form is both playful and grounded, with a soft inner void that contrasts with the rugged material finish. The sculpture balances smoothness and sediment, celebrating the dialogue between land and sea, movement and stillness.

This is a one-of-a-kind collectible sculpture, meant to be admired as a standalone work of art.
