“Corrente Nera” – Black Current in Italian. A name that reflects both the fluid, organic form of the vase and the dynamic sand brushstrokes that seem to trace the movement of water or wind over stone.

This is a sculptural ceramic piece entirely handmade by Valentina Cojocaru, crafted in black stoneware with 25% chamotte for a rich, tactile texture. The surface is left raw to preserve its earthy, mineral feel, then subtly enhanced with natural sand brushstrokes that create a sense of motion and geological layering.

Measuring 27 cm in height, 13 cm in diameter, and weighing 2 kg, the silhouette is soft, curved, and sensual. An abstract echo of the human form or a worn stone shaped by time. The sand applications lend depth and material contrast, making the piece feel simultaneously ancient and contemporary.

Not watertight, this sculpture is intended as a standalone art object or for use with dry floral elements.
