Marantz SD6000 – kwaliteit uit de tijd dat cassette nog koning was

Niet alles wordt beter met de tijd. Cassettes misschien wel. De Marantz SD6000 komt uit een periode waarin audiomerken nog dikke aluminium frontplaten monteerden, functies met schakelaars uitvoerden en gewicht als kwaliteit werd gezien. En dat voel je meteen als je hem aanraakt.

Wat deze SD6000 bijzonder maakt? Hij kan opnemen én afspelen op twee snelheden. Dat was ooit bedoeld voor betere geluidskwaliteit bij opnames (of snellere afluistering), maar het zegt vooral iets over hoe serieus dit deck genomen werd door Marantz. Dit was geen instapmodel. Dit was gereedschap voor mensen die écht naar hun opnames luisterden.

En dat kan nu weer. De weergave is strak, de bediening voelt solide en alle knoppen en meters doen wat ze moeten doen. De toon is warm, maar eerlijk. Precies zoals je verwacht van een goed cassette deck met karakter.
