 Die Baluch Teppiche (auch Belutsch) stammen von einer nomadischen Volksgruppe aus der Region Belutschistan, einem Grenzgebiet zwischen Afghanistan und Pakistan. Sie leben von der Landwirtschaft, der Teppichproduktion sowie der Schaf-, Ziegen- und Kamelzucht. Traditionell werden die Teppiche aus Schafwolle oder Ziegenhaar von den eigenen Herden der Stämme hergestellt. Aufgrund ihres Stammesursprungs sind die Teppiche in der Regel durch den hohen Transportbedarf kleiner, besitzen geometrische Muster oder stilisierte Blumenmotive und werden handgeknüpft. Die klassischen dunkelroten, braunen oder blauen Hintergründe werden oft mit lebhaften Mustern in Weiß-, Elfenbein-, Gelb- oder Orangetönen kontrastiert. Baluch-Teppiche sind verhältnismäßig dünn, dafür jedoch ziemlich dicht gewebt, wodurch sie weich und flexibel sind. Perfekt für den täglichen Gebrauch und viel Bewegung. Auch heute bieten diese Teppiche noch ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sowie hervorragende Lebensdauer.
