Een reproductie van een driekleurig Tang paard van gegoten polymeer. Handgeschilderd. 
Aan de onderzijde voorzien van stempel: Mouseion 3-d Parastone, The Netherlands. 

Dit zeer gedetailleerd en fraai beeld van een paard is geïnspireerd door de kunst uit de oud Chinese Tang-Dynastie. Dit handgemaakte unieke beeld komt uit de collectie van Parastone, wie het beeld in drie verschillende kleuren heeft gemaakt. Dit beeldje is van zeer goede kwaliteit en erg fijn en nauwkeurig afgewerkt waardoor deze decoratie een echte blikvanger is.

Tijdens de Tang dynastie (618-907) bereikte de Chinese keramische traditie een artistiek hoogtepunt. Op basis van het bruin en groen geglazuurde aardewerk uit de Han dynastie ontstond het befaamde driekleurige aardewerk, het Tang Sancai. Verreweg het meeste van het driekleurige aardewerk werd geproduceerd als grafgift (minqi). Rond Changan en Luonyang waren daarvoor grote werkplaatsen ingericht. In de graven van hooggeplaatste personen werd aardewerk in alle maten en soorten bijgezet. Zo waren er beelden om het graf te bewaken, beelden om de goden gunstig te stemmen en voorwerpen en beelden om ervoor te zorgen dat het de overledene in heet hiernamaals aan niets zou ontbreken. Het paard gold als het meest favoriete dierfiguur. Geproduceerd in mallen werd het soms in grote getalen bijgezet.

Dit Tang paard is gemaakt van gegoten polymeer en met de hand beschilderd. 
Afmetingen: hoogte 18 cm x breedte 19 cm x diepte 8 cm. Gewicht: +/- 800 gram.

In nette staat met lichte sporen van gebruik.
