Francesco Binfaré es un intelectual, un artista y un diseñador que tiene una trayectoria consolidada de colaboración con Edra desde hace años. Nació y creció en Milán, y aprendió el diseño y la pintura de su padre. Desde 1960, ejerce su arte en el ámbito industrial, asumiendo principalmente el papel de director artístico de centros de investigación y promoción de proyectos. Ha colaborado con arquitectos y diseñadores en la creación de productos destinados a convertirse en piezas históricas del diseño italiano e internacional. En 1992, Massimo Morozzi le pidió que diseñara para Edra. El encuentro marcó el inicio de una nueva era, con la invención de grandes sofás de una extraordinaria fuerza expresiva e innovadora.
