Prachtige kleden gemaakt door de Shoowa stam uit het Kuba koningrijk. De schitterende Shoowa kleden zijn een essentieel onderdeel van de Kuba stammen cultuur. Ze zijn uiterst bewerkelijk om te maken - mannen zorgen voor het soepel maken van de palmvezels en voor het weven, de vrouwen zorgen voor het borduurwerk. Het vervaardigen van 1 kleed duurt totaal 4-6 maanden (!). De fascinerende geometrische motieven hebben altijd een specifieke betekenis - deze motieven zien we ook op de lichaams-scarificaties bij de Kuba mannen en vrouwen.
De Shoowa kleden worden gebruikt als betaalmiddel, ruilmiddel en zijn essentieel onderdeel van de bruidsschat.
