Een zeldzame en iconische designradio, "POE", ontworpen door Philippe Starck voor Alessi in samenwerking met Thomson. 
Het ontwerp is sculpturaal en karaktervol: een strakke kegelvorm met een fijn metalen luidsprekerrooster bovenaan. Het minimalistische ontwerp combineert functionaliteit met een poëtische esthetiek — passend bij de naamgeving. De keuze voor de naam "POE" is geen toeval: Starck laat zich erdoor inspireren, verwijzend naar Edgar Allan Poe, wiens bewogen en mysterieuze stijl goed past bij de mystiek van dit ontwerp.
