Zeldzame en decoratieve faience scheerschaal (bol à barbe), handbeschilderd in blauw en mangaan, afkomstig uit Noord-Frankrijk (mogelijk Saint-Omer).

De karakteristieke halfronde uitsparing in de rand duidt op het gebruik als scheerschaal: de barbier plaatste de schaal onder de kin tijdens het inzepen en scheren, zodat water en schuim werden opgevangen. Dergelijke scheerschalen waren in de 18e en 19e eeuw populair en werden vaak voorzien van persoonlijke decoratie.

Centraal draagt dit stuk de inscriptie “Alphonse Fiat – 1867”, omringd door een florale decoratie. Dit maakt het tot een uniek en persoonlijk object, en een fraai voorbeeld van Franse volkskunst en gebruikskeramiek.

	•	Decoratie: Handbeschilderd in kobaltblauw en mangaan
