Zeer fraaie en compleet uitgevoerde comtoise-klok uit de Jura-streek (Frankrijk), tweede helft 19e eeuw.

Gesigneerd op de wijzerplaat: L. Gaye à Lestelle

Rijk gedecoreerde messing frontplaat met florale ornamenten

Emaille wijzerplaat met Romeinse cijfers en handbeschilderde bloemen

Originele wijzers

Compleet met lange, rijk versierde slinger

Twee originele gietijzeren gewichten aanwezig

Groot slagwerk op bel achterop (volle uren en halve uren, met repetitie)

Mechaniek in goede en complete staat

Deze comtoise is een prachtig voorbeeld van Franse klokkenmakers kunst en wordt steeds zeldzamer in complete en originele staat.

Goede, gebruikte staat. Het uurwerk loopt en slaat.

A beautiful and complete Comtoise clock from the Jura region of France, second half of the 19th century.

Signed on the dial: L. Gaye à Lestelle

Richly decorated brass front with floral ornaments

Enamel dial with Roman numerals and hand-painted flowers

Original hands

Complete with long, ornate pendulum

Two original cast iron weights included

Large bell striking mechanism (hours and half hours, with repetition)

Movement in complete and good condition

A fine example of French clockmaking tradition, increasingly rare in this complete and original state.
