Description from the seller
Suzuki GSX-R750 Slingshot (1990) Custom build door Cool Kid Customs, featured on Bike EXIF
For sale: a fully custom-built Suzuki GSX-R750 Slingshot from 1990, built by Cool Kid Customs (Haarlem). This exact motorcycle was featured in January 2023 on Bike EXIF, the world’s leading platform for custom motorcycles, under the title "Cool as ice: A GSX-R750 Slingshot from the Netherlands". The full article with build story and professional photography can be found at bikeexif.com.
The Slingshot was at the time the first GSX-R with upside-down front fork and the last with the distinctive twin-headlight front, an icon from the Vanilla Ice era. A true show bike, but one that is actually ridden: since the build, 5,500 km have been covered. The original mileage is unfortunately no longer traceable. Through the complete build, this motorcycle rides and looks practically new, despite its year of manufacture.
Build documentation
The complete build process is documented step-by-step by Cool Kid Customs on their Instagram account (@coolkidcustoms), with photos from every phase. From the original, damaged condition to the final result.
Bodywork and paint
* Paint condition: striking, fully custom livery (matte black base with pink/yellow geometric patterns), self-designed and applied by Michel Szozda. There are a few slight signs of use and small, superficial scratches, not deep. A real eyecatcher that looks excellent.
* Seat condition: race-replica solo seat (part of the full bodykit)
* Rubber footpegs/steering: original clip-ons and switches, with new fish-scale grips and slim CNC-machined mirrors
* Tank condition: pristine
* Front fork seals: good, replaced in 2025
*
What was done during the build
* Full race-replica bodykit with solo seat
* Upper fairing without belly fairing, for visibility of the tech
* LED headlight on one side, 3D-printed cover on the other side
* Custom carbon tail piece (chopped carbon fiber) with integrated X-shaped LED taillight
* Custom carbon windscreen and carbon Yoshimura-style oil cooler fan (90s replica)
* New rear shock absorber (GSX-R part), original unit leaked
* New battery box under the seat, electronics relocated, small lithium-ion battery
* Airbox removed, Mikuni "slingshot" K&N filters, recalibrated (jets, springs, needles)
* Digital instrument panel on custom carbon dashboard
* Braided stainless steel brake lines
* Pirelli Angel GT tires
* Standard 4-into-1 exhaust manifold black-coated, with self-made stainless steel coupling pipe and aftermarket muffler
Technical condition
* Tires: still good tread
* Chain, sprockets: good
* Brakes: good
* Engine, clutch and gearbox: runs, brakes and shifts well
* Starting/riding: starts and rides well
* Electrical systems: function properly
Overall condition
Despite the 1990 year, this bike feels practically new due to the complete build. Only 5,500 km since the build, with only superficial signs of use fitting a motorcycle that is actually ridden. A distinct, striking presence that performs above expectations in both looks and handling. Not a “garage queen,” but a show bike that is also ridden, so the mileage may still increase before sale.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
