Item Description
Vintage Suzuki Mandolin, model No. 226, manufactured in 1966 by Suzuki Violin Co., Ltd., Nagoya, Japan. This traditional bowl-back mandolin features a spruce top with intricate wood inlay around the soundhole and a decorative pickguard with a mother-of-pearl floral motif. The back is crafted from alternating light and dark wood ribs, creating a classic and elegant appearance. The instrument is currently strung with 7 of its original 8 strings. Overall, it presents signs of age and prior use consistent with its vintage nature, but retains a warm tone and visual charm.

Includes the original fitted hard case with blue interior, showing numerous exterior scuffs and scratches from years of handling, as well as a working lock with key. Also comes with one pick stored inside the case. This is a fine collectible piece for both musicians and vintage instrument enthusiasts.
