The Sultan is geen speelgoed. Het is een troon op vier poten – een antiek hobbelpaard dat meer grandeur en karakter uitstraalt dan menig designmeubel.

Volledig met de hand gesneden uit massief hout en beschilderd in krachtige tinten rood, zwart en crème. De uitgesneden manen, de expressieve blik en de trotse houding maken van The Sultan een folkloristisch meesterstuk dat de tand des tijds niet alleen overleefde, maar veredeld werd door zijn littekens.
	•	Materiaal: massief hout, polychroom beschilderd
	•	Herkomst: vermoedelijk India of Zuidoost-Azië
	•	Periode: ca. 1900–1930
	•	Stijl: folk art / antiek speelgoed
	•	Conditie: uitzonderlijk goed – stabiel, krachtig, met patina en craquelé die de authenticiteit onderstrepen
