The author’s journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway through Japan, Korea, China, Mongolia and Russia looking at the expansion of the Russian and Japanese empires on the eve of the Russo-Japanese war. A story of a journey of the Trans - Siberian Railway through Japan, Korea, China and Mongolia. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine and front board. Illustrated with numerous b/w photographs - many full page, including a frontispiece plate!
Very good – condition. An ex-library book with a gilt shelf number on the spine, bookplate on the front pastedown and some embossed stamps throughout especially on margins of plates.Cloth dust stained. Page edges slightly age toned but otherwise clean and bright. Binding firm. Folding giant map in very good condition. 
Uncommon. Rarity
