   •   Export history: Imported into the Netherlands, assayed with the Dutch duty mark “crowned V in triangle”, used only between 1893–1906 for foreign silver.
   •   Material: Solid silver (tested)
   •   Weight: 98.47 grams
   •   Height: 6 cm

Decoration:
   •   Cylindrical tankard body with detailed repoussé scenes of Chinese scholars/immortals in a natural landscape.
   •   Dragon/serpent-shaped handle, a powerful Chinese symbol of strength and protection.
   •   High-quality handwork in relief and chasing, typical of late Qing Dynasty export silver.

Condition:
   •   Excellent antique condition
   •   Minor surface wear consistent with age


This tankard exemplifies that fusion: a Western-style drinking vessel richly decorated with Chinese symbolic figures and a dragon handle.

The Dutch duty mark (crowned V in triangle) makes this example particularly interesting to collectors, as it firmly dates the piece to 1893–1906 and shows it was officially imported and taxed in the Netherlands during that short hallmarking period.
